Open Source Resources

Some EMIL Lighthouse projects as well as funded projects have made developments available as open source resources. Follow the links below to access these developments, templates and documentations:

API for EMIL Wearable devices. Source code for Master board is available in Master Board -folder, and for the modules in Actuators and Sensors -folders. Files for creating the PCBs are available in PCB Files -folder.

The TRACER Location Based Experience Example is a sample implementation that shows how the Filmakademie TRACER framework can be used to create a location-based experience. It was created as part of the EU project EMIL and extends the TRACER framework by functionality focused on multi player network gaming for the EMIL Ligthhouse project Fate of the Minotaur.

The repository contains a publicly available Unity project that contains the Virtual Reality environments that were used to construct affect recognition models for VR Exergaming (Virtual_Environments). Please refer to the accompanying CHI’24 research paper.

This repository contains a Software Development Kit (SDK) for creating augmented reality (AR) experiences for the AR Magic Lantern (ARML), an ongoing research project led by the Full-Body Interaction Lab at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Embodied XR Performance Framework is a framework for creating immersive performances, mostly in Unreal Engine. The documentation is still going under a bit of refinement to be as clear as glass, but all of the submodules created for this project are ready-to-use. If you are bold enough to try it, we recommend Unreal Engine 5.3.
