Welcome to Zoe Jeffery! Zoe has recently joined us at the University of Bath as a Post Doctoral Research Associate in Immersive Technologies.
Zoe has just recently passed her PhD in health and physical activity, where her project worked with teenage girls helping them to re-imagine school physical education through customised avatars and virtual reality video gaming. A qualitative researcher, Zoe’s experience spans health and social policy having worked with people with learning disabilities and mental health issues lived schools and local authorities collecting lived experience data through co-creative and participatory methodologies. She has worked with Christof Lutteroth on avatar customisation projects including the CHI best paper Me vs Super(wo)man. She has experience in human-centred design and is developing an augmented reality physical education videogame for teenagers as part of the University of Bath’s alumni innovation award. Zoe lives on a 56ft narrowboat on the Kennet and Avon Canal near Bath and enjoys cruising the boat along the tranquil waters.
