Introducing VibeStride AR Physical Education for Teen Girls

The REVEAL team at the University of Bath is proud to introduce VibeStride, an augmented reality (AR) physical education app designed to tackle the growing disengagement of teenage girls in school PE.

๐Ÿ“‰ The Challenge: In the UK and globally, girls are significantly less physically active than boys. Research highlights key barriers, including:
๐Ÿ”น Lack of choice in sports and activities
๐Ÿ”น Discomfort with traditional PE uniforms
๐Ÿ”น Disabilities and neurodiversity-related barriers
๐Ÿ”น Low socio-economic background, limiting access to extracurricular opportunities

๐ŸŽฎ The VibeStride Solution:
โœ… Gamified PE experience powered by AR
โœ… Customisable avatars & challenges, allowing girls to shape their fitness journey
โœ… Reward-based engagement, where completing challenges earns real-world high-street vouchers
โœ… Co-designed with teenage girls, ensuring relevance and accessibility

By making physical education more inclusive, flexible, and fun, VibeStride aims to redefine engagement in PE and encourage lifelong healthy habits.

Weโ€™re excited to bring this innovation to schoolsโ€”stay tuned for updates!
